Research interests

Dr. Hằng obtained her Ph.D in
Pharmacy in Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea in 2009 and did her
postdoctoral training in molecular and cellular immunology at QIA, South Korea,
and then, at Deakin University, Australia from 2009-2012. From 2005-2009, Dr.
Hằng’s research focused on molecular mechanisms underlying pathogenesis of (1)
Alzheimer’s disease and (2) H1N1 influenza virus infection. Dr. Hằng returned to
Vietnam in 2012 and started her new research on genetics and molecular
mechanisms of severe epilepsy syndromes, especially of Dravet syndrome. Dr. Hằng
recent interest also includes the applying of modern molecular techniques,
especially of high-throughput sequencing, for genetic testing.
